(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Junior Spartans close out the regular season last Saturday with finishing first in the OSEL U16 AA Division. They look to host the quarterfinals matchup this Saturday July 16th at James Jerome Field against the Quinte Skyhawks at 4PM.
The Junior Spartans set the tone for the playoffs in their last regular season game, convincingly defeating the Clarington Knights 60-1 and clinch the first position in the OSFL U16 AA Division for the playoffs. After losing their first development game to the Durham Dolphins in May, the JV’s rolled up their sleeves and went on to win all their regular season games, being the only team in the AA Division to do so. By scoring an average of 34 points and giving up only 9 points per game, they secured the field advantage for both the quarterfinals and the semifinals. The league finals will be played in London on August 6th.
Tickets are available for Saturday’s playoff game at the gate for $10. Kids 12 and under get in free.

The Spartans Men’s team are off this week and will play their last regular season game on Saturday July 23rd in Sault Ste. Marie at 7PM. Playoffs for the Men’s team are set to get underway in the week of August 6th.
