(Greater Sudbury, ON) For the second time this season, both the JV and Mens Spartans teams will suit up at home this Saturday, July 9th at James Jerome Field.
The Sudbury Junior Spartans host their final game of the 2022 season when they host the Clarington Knights at 4pm, while the Sudbury Spartans Mens team will host their final home game of the 2022 season, when they host the North Bay Bulldogs at 7PM. During this game the Spartans will present former players Bruce Vaillancourt and JP Pigeon as their 2022 Hall of Fame inductees.
The Junior Spartans will be looking to set the tone for the playoffs this weekend after clinching the North Division title last Saturday. They defeated the Quinte Skyhawks 23-9 on July 2nd, scoring 16 unanswered points during the 4th quarter to improve their win streak to 6 and to clinch the title.
As for the Mens team, they will be looking to remain undefeated in 2022, having won their first four games of the season. Most recently, the Spartans’ defense kept the Sarnia Imperials’ offense silent, as they won 41-0 on June 25th.
Tickets are available at the gate for $10. Kids 12 and under get in free.
The JV Spartans game will be sponsored by Anmar Mechanical and the Mens game will be sponsored by Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill.
