(Greater Sudbury, ON) After shutting down the Quinte Skyhawks in the OSFL U16 AA Quarterfinals a little over a week ago, the Sudbury Junior Spartans will face the Peterborough Wolverines on Saturday, July 30th at 4pm for a spot in the U16 AA Finals.
After going undefeated in the regular season, the JV Spartans were hoping to set the tone in their Quarterfinals matchup, as the top-seeded team of the U16 AA Division. Led by Steven Sola’s 254 passing yards and Zidaine Allen’s 126 rushing yards, the JV’s paved their way to a 41-0 shutout on July16th to clinch the Semifinals to be played on July 30th.
Saturday’s game is sponsored by Technica Mining. Tickets are available at the gate for $10. Kids 12 and under get in free.
The Spartans Men’s team will kickoff their playoffs on Saturday August 6th at James Jerome Field (Time and opponent TBD).
