The JV Spartans also had action over the weekend when they visited the Toronto Jets in North York, where they fell to their opposition 28-10. The JV Spartans had a very good game up until the 4th quarter where it seemed like they struggled to keep their game going.

Going into the 2nd half the Jets were in the lead 7-0. That changed in the 3rd quarter when a field goal and then a touchdown from Zack Primeau, made the score 10-7. Once the 4th quarter came around the JV Spartans seemed to struggle allowing 21 unanswered points. Leading to the Jets taking the game 28-10.

Despite the 4th quarter breakdown, the team played great offence, and very strong defence. Although they dropped the game, they know that they can compete with any team after their showing in the first 3 quarters.

Their next game is on the 22nd, where they hit the road again to face off against the Woodstock Wolverines, and look to put the last 4th quarter behind them.

The JV Spartans’ next home game is on the 29th, where they will host the Clarington Knights at 1pm at the James Jerome Complex.
