(Greater Sudbury, ON) The U16 Sudbury Spartans and Sudbury Spartans Men’s team are gearing up for a doubleheader against the North Bay Bulldogs Saturday. Kick-off is set for 4pm and 7pm respectively on June 17th at James Jerome Field.
The Sudbury Spartans U16 team have been unstoppable on the football field, consistently finding the end zone in their recent games. The U16 squad has exhibited a dynamic offense, scoring touchdowns with explosive runs and precise passing plays.
Meanwhile, the Men’s team has demonstrated their offensive prowess through a balanced attack, utilizing both the running game and aerial strikes to put points on the board.
Sudbury Spartans are also proud to honour the newest member of the Sudbury Hardrocks/Sudbury Spartans N.F.C Hall of Fame Saturday. Defensive tackle, Paul Zulich gave his all to the football club during and following his playing career. Paul Zulich was a key member of the Spartans that lead the team to three N.F.C championship titles in 1982, 1985, and 1987. He was also named to the N.F.C All Star Team for defensive tackle in 1982. Thank you for everything you have done for the Spartans.
