We woke this morning to the news that Spartan legend and Northern Football Conference Hall of Fame player Kevin White has passed away last night in his sleep after a short battle with cancer.

Kevin was 56 years old. He was still listed as an active player on our team roster. He is one of the most decorated players in Spartan history. He’s been a league All Star on both the offensive and defensive lines multiple times – 1985, 1991, 1992, 1994, 2001, 2015, 2017 and 2018.Sudbury

His accolades on the field led the league to induct him into NFC Hall Of Fame a decade ago. Kevin continued to play the game he loved for another decade and was expected to suit up again in the future. There has been no other player that represents the love of Spartan football than Kevin White and his level of play was still at an All Star level even in recent years.

The only thing Kevin loved more than Spartan football was his family. They were his priority in life and he made sure everyone knew it. Spartan home games were family outings for the Whites’. We have all watched his love for his family over years.

We send our heartfelt condolences to Jillian, Sam, Carly and the White family. We are sorry for your loss. Kevin believed in “Family First – Always”, and we thank him for being such a huge part of our Spartan Family.
