Both the Mens and JV Spartans squads will head to North Bay this coming weekend as they get set to face off against the Bulldogs in double header action.

Both Spartan teams are coming off big victories, with the Spartans clinching a first-round home playoff game after their win against the Sault Ste. Marie Steelers, where they beat them 28-7. The JV have also put themselves in strong contention for their playoffs as they increased their record to 4-2 over the Canada Day long weekend against the Clarington Knights, where they won 36-13.

With the Senior North Bay team without a win this season, they are hungry looking for that first W. The JV Bulldogs are 2-4 and every game they have played has been a close battle, they are looking to try to clinch a playoff spot as well and need the win. They are sure to be strong competition as they just traded games with the Toronto Jets who had beat the JV Spartans earlier this season.

If you can make the short trip to North Bay, you are sure to see some great football action. The JV teams face off at 4:00pm with the Senior teams starting after them at 6:00pm, both games are at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex on Lakeshore Drive in North Bay.

The JV Spartans are back in action at home on July 13th against Orangeville at 1:00pm.
